Understanding Smart Forms

Remine Docs uses Smart Forms that have several built-in intelligent features:

  • They automatically link certain fields with other documents in the Client File.
  • They'll provide alerts & notifications of missing or incomplete fields prior to sending or exporting.
  • They have built-in, automatically placed electronic signature fields so that signatures and initial tags are already placed and ready for all parties involved.
  • PDF files do not have those features -they are essentially an image file.
  • If you entered an FMLS number on the new transaction window previously, some information from the listing is carried over to the form.
  • Biggest thing – smart forms already have the signing locations so there is no need to drag a signing location into the form.

Smart Forms are easy to identify, they have a blue tab on the left side of form as shown:

Helpful Hint: The first form you should open and complete should be the one with the most fields. Its function is similar to the Datasheet, where the information will move over to the other forms.
