Market Watch Widget

Stay up to date on the real estate market in your area with the customized reports based on your price range, location or additional property features.

The widget has three parts: Status, Type and Time. You can use any of these items to focus on the area and properties you want.

If you don’t make any changes to the Status, Type, or Time settings, the Market Watch widget is looking at the FMLS database as a whole.

VIEWING PROPERTIES




To change the focus to just one Property Type, select the type from the drop down.


To change the time frame, select the time frame from the drop down.

The time frame definitions are:


In this example, we selected the Back on Market link. Notice that the default view on the grid is Hot Sheet. To change the view, click the arrow on the Display drop down and select the view you want. 


CUSTOMIZING THE WIDGET

You can customize the Market Watch widget so that you can see only certain types of new activity based on your business needs.

1. From the Agent Dashboard, Market Watch Widget, click Customize.


The Market Watch search screen opens.


2. Select the property type, geographical area, and/or features just as you would for a regular search. You can add additional fields.

NOTE: Additional fields that have been added to the regular search screen do not carry over to this screen.

3. Click Save. The Agent Dashboard appears. Now when you click any link in the Market Watch Widget, it reflects only those properties that match your customized criteria.

NOTE: You will know you have customized criteria when the Reset link appears on the widget.


In the example above, you see all Forsyth County, Ga residential detached properties over $400K for the last 24 hours.

Click the link of the status you want to view, for example, Price Decrease. The grid opens listing the properties.


1. From the Agent Dashboard, Market Watch Widget, click Customize. The Market Watch search screen opens.

2. To search using the map, click the Map Search link.


The map search screen opens.


3. Use the Map tools to select specific areas you want to watch.

Note: The Map Drawing Tools are located on the right side of the screen.

4. Click OK.

5. Click Save. The Agent Dashboard appears. Now when you click any link in the Market Watch Widget, it reflects only those properties that match your customized criteria.

NOTE: You will know you have customized criteria when the Reset link appears on the widget.


SET YOUR LOCATION

You can set a default location for your map. If you work in a specific area of town you can set the map to always open showing that location.

With the map open, position the map for the area you want. 


Click the Set Default Location link. The next time you open the Market Watch Map it defaults to the location you set.

USING THE JUMP TO FEATURE

If you want to quickly position the map to your current location, click the drop down arrow next to Jump To and select My Current Location.


RESET MARKET WATCH WIDGET

To reset the Market Watch widget so that it is look at the FMLS database as a whole, simply click the Reset link in the widget.
