Working With a Saved Search

Working With a Saved Search

Using Classic Mode

You can modify any saved search.

1. Click on My Matrix.

2. Select Saved Searches. The Saved Search window opens.

  • Searches that have the word “imported” in front of the name are searches that were brought over from Fusion.
  • Searches that have been associated with a specific contact, show the contact name.
  • The last run column shows the date of the last time you ran the search.

3. Click the small arrow to the left of the search name. The search box opens.

The table below defines the links:

Using the New Mode

While the process for saving a search has remained the same, there is a new screen to work with existing saved searches.

You can find a previously saved search by either scrolling through them or by using the "Search by name" field just above and to the right of the list of searches.  At the bottom of the page you can choose how many searches per page are visible at a time, choices range from 25 to 100.   Searches can also be sorted by column by clicking on the column names: Search Name, Contact Name, or Last Run.

To view further capabilities for a search, click on the down arrow at the right edge of the line containing the search name.

Once the line is expanded you will notice more information and options appear.

  • The red Delete button to the right will delete the search once a confirmation to Proceed is given
  • Criteria button will revisit the criteria page in case the search needs tweaking (such as price point or location)
  • Results will run the search and display the listings currently matching the criteria of the search
  • Date Since displays only results that are new since the last time the search was run
  • Market Update allows you to specify a date and display updates to the results since that day
  • Settings will allow for the renaming of the search, selecting which contact(s) the search is associated with*, as well as allowing it to be saved or removed as a favorite to the Dashboard and remind you of the criteria used

*NOTE: remember, a saved search does NOT email updates automatically, that is an Auto Email search which is set up and managed differently.

If there are any new matches to the search since it was last run, the Saved Search page will automatically display that to the right of the Settings button.  Click the information to view the new matches.
