How to Create a Live Open House in Remine

There are two quick ways for agents to schedule a Live Open House within Remine: from the "My Listings" card in Daily or the Property Details page. At this time, only the listing agent or co-listing agent will have the ability to create a Remine Live Open House and only for listings with the following statuses: Coming Soon, Active, and Active Under Contract.

From the Property Details page, agents can create a new Live Open House or edit/delete an existing one. When setting up a new Live Open House, they can choose to use Remine Live or add a link to a live tour from an external streaming service provider (i.e., Zoom, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.). Due to MLS guidelines, the external streaming link may not be accessible.

Schedule. Schedule Live Open Houses via desktop or mobile.

Share with others. All scheduled Remine Live showings will have a unique link that you can share with other agents and clients — promote this link on your social media, emails, or website to increase visibility!

How to Start a Remine Live Showing

To broadcast the open house, you must use the Remine mobile app.

1. Create a Live Open House and switch on the Remine Live toggle.
2. Go to the "My Remine Live" section in Daily from the mobile app and click on the open house you want to start streaming.
3. Each live stream can be up to 30 minutes long, but you can host multiple sessions throughout the day.

During the Remine Live broadcast, agents can monitor how many viewers are attending the open house. The on-screen features include a flash and reverse camera button. Flip the camera on yourself and speak directly to your audience!

Search and Watch

Agents can easily search for properties that have live open houses scheduled. Search results will include all open houses from Remine and the MLS. To watch a live showing, click the "Watch Open House" link in the Property Details page.

How Consumers Can Interact with Live Open Houses

Clients who are logged into the Consumer Portal and are associated with an agent can also search for and watch live open houses.  

Consumer Search

A Live Open House toggle easily enables consumers to search. This toggle automatically disables other search filters and will only search for properties with a live open house. Open house information will displays via a banner on the property card.

Property Details

The Property Details page makes it easy for consumers to view all open house information. Consumers can add open houses to their calendars, access a live streaming tour, or schedule a tour (virtual or in-person). Both listing and buyer's agents get notified of client requests and activities.

Remine Live FAQ

Q: Our MLS currently allows members to populate a Virtual Open House URL in our MLS system. Will that display inside Remine?

A: Yes, if you have already communicated that this information will be available in the Remine data feed, then the URL will be visually identified as a virtual open house within Remine.

Q: Who can create Live Open Houses?

A: Listing agent and co-listing agents will be able to schedule a Live Open House. A new option is available in the My Listings gadget found on your Daily dashboard. There will also be an option to schedule a Live Open House while viewing the Property Details page.

Q: What listing statuses are available to use with the Live Open House?

A: Currently, only Active, Coming Soon, and Active Under Contract property statuses will offer the ability to schedule a Live Open House.

Q: Can an attendee of the Remine Live streaming tour ask the host questions?

A: Currently, communication is only one way. There is not an available option for the viewer to ask questions.

Q: Where is the Remine Live streaming tour viewed?

A: The agent or client must log in to the Remine platform. They can access it through the Remine.com website or the Apple and Android mobile apps.

Q: With the current social distancing or shelter-in-place regulations, can my seller host the Remine Live streaming tour on my behalf?

A: Currently seller cannot host a Remine Live streaming tour.

Q: Is the Remine Live streaming tour recorded after it has ended? Is it added to the listing details or available or distribution later?

A: At this time, a recording of the event will not be available.

Q: Is a Remine account required to view a Live Open House?

A: Yes, a consumer must be invited to Remine by their agent to view a Live Open House.

Q: Is there a way to share a Remine Live Open House created within Remine to other agents and consumers?

A: Yes, you can copy the URL for the Remine Live streaming tour to share with both agents and consumers.

Q: What is the difference between Remine Live and Live Open House?

A: Live Open House is a set of live showing features designed to help maintain the important connection and real-life experience association with property tours. This overarching feature contains three key elements that are aggregated within consumer/agent search and displayed on the Property Details page.

1. Create a Live Open House in Remine using a personal/external streaming service link
2. Remine Live, in-app streaming service that ensures MLS brand neutrality and compliance
3. MLS virtual open houses: Virtual open house links (if enabled within an MLS market) are now enabled via the RETS feed.

Q: When an agent schedules the time of the Open House, will the time be reflected for the viewer's time zone?

A: Yes, we use the viewer's time zone on the web and mobile. For example: if an agent added an open house for property in DC at 3:00 p.m. ET, it would show up for an agent or consumer in California at noon PST.
