To print mailing labels based on Public Records from within Matrix, begin by performing a property record search. As an example, here is a search in Cobb county for the Shannon Glen subdivision. The wildcard (*) has been used in the subdivision field and 112 matches have been found.
Pro Tip: To search for renters or other situations where the owner may not occupy the property consider using the Owner Occupied field. Setting Owner Occupied to No means that you’re searching for properties where the tax bill goes to an address other than the property location. This does not guarantee targeting the client you intend but over the years has provided overwhelmingly accurate results.
Once satisfied with the search, Results is clicked to see a grid view of the matches.
Using the check boxes at left, select the properties you want to create labels for. Alternately, you may use the All or Page links found at the top. All will select all results if you have multiple pages from your search whereas Page will select only the visible page’s results. (Clicking None after you’ve selected matches will deselect all.)
Click Print at the bottom of the grid to open available printing options.
Note that the entries in the column at left that will print mailing labels begin with that wording. As of the time of this publication, only the Avery 5160 label sheets are supported.
Occupant Property Address will print labels for “Current Resident” at the property address.
Occupant Tax Address will print labels for “Current Resident” at the tax billing address.
Owner Property Address will print labels using the owner’s name and property address.
Owner Tax Address will print labels using the owner’s name and tax billing address.
Occ./Owner Property Address will print labels using “(property owner) or current resident” with the property address.
Occ./owner & Tax Address will print labels using “(property owner) or current resident” with the tax billing address.
The choices made here are strongly influenced if you chose to use the Owner Occupied field as a part of your search criteria.’’
Once the label is chosen, click Print to PDF in the green bar at the bottom of the page.
The pdf document will appear and can be saved for future use or printed from your browser to the label sheet loaded into your printer.
